We are located at the entrance to Valpolicella Classica, coming from Verona, on the central and panoramic hill, in the medieval village of Castelrotto. Our property is adjacent to Castrum Rotari (7th century), a historic military fortress considered the “Ground Zero” of Valpolicella Classica. Casa dei Fraccaroli (1790) – a family heirloom for centuries, one of the oldest houses in the village, located in the romantic square of Castelrotto – today houses the Borghetti Giampiero Winery, the family's boutique winery, and the Castrum Wine Relais – Albergo Diffuso. The experience begins with check-in at the boutique winery; guests are then escorted to the panoramic terrace/pergola with a stunning view of Valpolicella Classica and the city of Verona. The aperitif includes 3 sparkling wines from the Gold Collection of Borghetti Giampiero Winery. The wines are accompanied by a platter of cheeses from Lessinia and sbrisolona, a typical local dessert. An upgrade with gourmet platters is also available. The experience takes place on the panoramic terrace/pergola.
