Description

A Venice day trip from Lake Garda with a live guide: air-conditioned bus across the Veneto, a private boat over the lagoon, a walking tour and free time in the city.

This Venice day trip from Lake Garda covers the long journey for you and leaves the day for the city. A coach with air conditioning collects guests from several points around the lake, such as Limone, Bardolino and Riva del Garda, and crosses the Veneto with a short coffee stop near Soave, paid by you.

In Venice a private boat carries the group over the lagoon straight to the St. Mark's area. A guide with headphones leads a 40-minute walk through St. Mark's Square: the basilica, the Campanile and the Bridge of Sighs, then the main streets towards the Rialto Bridge. Along the way you hear how the Republic of Venice rose to dominate east and west and earned the name Queen of the Adriatic.

The afternoon is yours. Wander the side streets for a look at daily life, or sit in a café on the square. A gondola ride or lagoon boat trip can be arranged with the guide on the bus. At the agreed hour the group meets again, takes the boat back to the bus parking and drives home to the lake.

Museum entries, meals and drinks are not included, and the tour is not suitable for people with mobility impairments. The tour runs in English or German.
