Description
The Madonna della Corona sanctuary tour from Lake Garda begins with a scenic drive to the village of Spiazzi, with the guide handling the transfer and the logistics. The whole outing takes about three hours and ends at a church built against a cliff.
From Spiazzi you follow the guide down the paved Via Crucis path to the sanctuary. Inside, bare rock forms the left wall and the apse. You also see a copy of the Scala Santa, the Holy Stairs, and the terraces looking over the Adige Valley are good for a quiet pause or a photo.
The walk back up to the top is made together. Back in Spiazzi there is free time for a coffee, a slice of traditional cake or, if you like, a taste of local products, then the group heads down to the lake again. Anyone who would rather not climb back can take the shuttle bus that connects the village and the church.
