Description
The Bardolino wineries tour is a one-hour introduction to the wines of Verona, set in the landscape around Lake Garda. Over three glasses it brings together three classic wine areas, Bardolino, Soave and Valpolicella, through wines that are traditional in each.
You begin with a walk among the vineyards, where the guide explains the terroirs and the grape varieties of the area. Then you move inside the winery to follow each stage of winemaking, from the grapes to the bottle, while the guide talks about the old customs and the newer ideas behind these labels.
- Cuvée XX, a Soave Classico DOC
- Keya, a Chiaretto di Bardolino Classico DOC
- Cuvée XVII, a Valpolicella Classico DOC
You taste the three wines standing up, each with some grissini or taralli. Once the glasses are empty, you can stay around the winery or head on through the Bardolino area whenever you like. Wear comfortable shoes for the vineyard walk. Transport to the winery and extra food or drinks are not included, and the tour is not for children under 18.
