Description
This Lake Garda winery tour takes you to a family-run estate on the hill between Verona and the lake. The hosts are independent winegrowers, part of FIVI, the national federation of independent winegrowers, and the family tradition goes back to 1930. They grow the vines, make the wine, bottle it on site and lead the visit themselves.
You start outdoors, with a view over the vineyards, and then go down into the cellar to see how the wine is cared for. In the tasting room five glasses follow, each showing a different side of the local appellations Custoza, Chiaretto and Bardolino. Regional cured meats and cheeses come on a board alongside, and the estate's own extra virgin olive oil is served on toasted bread; water is served throughout.
- The story of the family and the character of the hill
- Five wines from the Custoza, Chiaretto and Bardolino designations
- Local specialities and the estate's own olive oil
- Vegan, celiac and other dietary options on request
The experience lasts about 90 minutes, and at the end you can buy the wines and the oil you tasted. Transport to the winery is not included, so plan your journey in advance. Pets are welcome.
