Description
This Limone sul Garda and Riva del Garda day trip covers the northern shore at an easy pace, with private transport and a multilingual host. It lasts around ten hours and leaves plenty of free time between stops.
You begin in Limone sul Garda, where citrus groves climb the mountainside and pastel houses reflect in the lake. A guided walk takes you through the narrow alleys and along the promenade, and you hear what locals say about their remarkable longevity. An aperitivo by the water follows.
Next, a scenic drive leads up to the Terrazza del Brivido, more than 400 metres above the lake, for a coffee with a long view. The day closes in Riva del Garda, where you wander squares, boutiques and lakeside cafes on your own. If you wish, you can ride the panoramic lift or go to the Varone waterfall nearby, though lift tickets are not included.
