Description
On this e-bike tour to Borghetto sul Mincio you cycle from Peschiera del Garda to a village ranked among the loveliest in Italy, with a tour leader along. The route follows the Peschiera–Mantua cycle path along the Mincio River, level and gentle, and the electric bikes keep the effort low even for people who rarely cycle. The outing takes about four hours.
You set off from Peschiera, a UNESCO World Heritage town, and ride through green and peaceful countryside beside the river. On the way you pass Monzambano, a medieval village under its castle and the gateway to the Morainic Hills. Then comes Borghetto sul Mincio, known for its old water mills and for the way the village seems suspended over the river. The autumn leaves along the river and the hills add colour in the right season.
