Description
This wine tasting in Peschiera del Garda takes place at Enoteca Tibi, in the Lake Garda wine area, and is led throughout by a certified sommelier. The group is private, with up to eight participants, and the session lasts about two hours.
You taste five carefully chosen local wines, shown on slides that explain their history, how they are made and what sets them apart. Each glass arrives with a snack picked to bring out its flavour, which is a simple way to learn the basics of pairing with local and Italian food. Along the way you look at colour, smell the aromas and compare the grape varieties.
The two hours also include:
- an introduction to the Lake Garda wine area
- an explanation of aromas and characteristics
- pairing tips
Bottles can be bought on the spot, and the shop can arrange shipping in Italy or worldwide. The enoteca is about ten metres from the Cavalcaselle bus stop, reached from Verona and the lake towns by ATV line 164 or LN026. Children under 18 are not admitted.
