Description
This Sirmione boat cruise gives you the town from the water in just 25 minutes. The boat leaves the small harbour in front of the Scaligero Castle and loops around the peninsula, while the captain comments on what slides past, in English or Italian.
The shoreline is the show. You sail below the Grotte di Catullo, the largest Roman ruins in northern Italy, and pass the Villa Maria Callas and the Aquaria beauty center. Near the end the boat reaches the sulphur spring, where thermal water rises to the surface of the lake and you can watch it bubble.
It is a short outing that suits anyone who would rather see Sirmione from the lake than from the street. If the weather turns bad and the cruise cannot run, you are told by text message at the phone number you gave when booking, and you can choose a refund or another day. The route itself may change with the conditions on the lake.
