Description
On this Verona e-bike tour with picnic you start from Itinera Bike&Travel, close to Ponte Pietra, where you collect an electric bike, a helmet, a lock and a holder for your phone. The route runs on an app, which works much like a navigation app, and the staff help you set it up before you leave.
The tour is self-guided. The bike makes the climb out of the city easy, and the route covers about 35 km, on secondary roads and some cycle paths through the countryside of Valpantena, a valley of vineyards and olive groves.
On the way you stop at a small local winery. The picnic is served among the vines and olive trees: salami, cheese, bread and vegetables, with a glass of local Valpolicella wine. Then you ride back to Verona, with a view of the city from a distance as you return.

Plan for a full day of about six hours, including the stop at the winery. The tour is not for children under 12 or for people who cannot ride a bike.
