Description
With Palazzo Maffei Verona tickets you step into a Baroque palace right on Piazza delle Erbe, in the middle of the old town. Inside, a single route joins ancient and contemporary art across four thousand years and more than 750 works.
The collection starts with Egyptian art and moves through the old Venetian masters, Canova among them, then on to Hokusai, Picasso, Magritte, Modigliani, Fontana and Burri, and up to the recent experiments of Dynys and Claire Fontaine. Among the latest arrivals are Casorati's The Dream of the Pomegranate, Dürer's The Capture of Christ, Boccioni's The Quarrel and Hayez's The Virgin in Prayer.
