Description
The Verona Card turns the city into an open-door route: one pass, you pick the 24-hour or the 48-hour version, and you decide where the day goes. It opens dozens of museums and monuments, a few at a reduced rate, and carries you across town on the ATV urban bus line.
Start with the Verona Arena, where you walk in past the queue and sit in a Roman amphitheatre that still hosts opera. From there the pass leads to Juliet's House and the love notes pinned along its wall, then up the Torre dei Lamberti for a view over the rooftops.
- Castelvecchio and its museum
- Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore and the Duomo complex
- Arche Scaligere, the Roman theatre museum and the Lapidario Maffeiano
- Reduced entry to the Giardino Giusti and the Museo Africano
A digital audio guide app comes with the pass, and the instructions arrive with your booking confirmation. Live guided tours are not part of it, and neither is the airport shuttle. Anyone aged 17 or younger travels without a card. Several sites are closed on Mondays, the Arena and Juliet's House among them, and the house and balcony call for a time slot reserved on the civic museums' website, so sketch your order of visits before you set out.
