Description
With Juliet's House tickets you go in through the fast-track entrance and spend about an hour inside Verona's best-loved romantic stop. The audio guide runs on your own smartphone, so you set the pace and linger where you like.
The courtyard comes first, with its gleaming bronze statue of Juliet. Fans of the play can add the balcony to the ticket and take in the view from it. Inside, the medieval house probably sheltered the real Cappelletti family, rivals of the Montecchi centuries ago, whose feud later inspired Shakespeare's tragedy. Rooms hold art, costumes and frescoes, and the commentary tells their stories.
