Description

An Amarone vertical tasting at the Ca' Besi vineyard in Valpolicella: a cellar tour, four vintages of Amarone, a glass of Recioto and food pairings chosen by the sommelier, over about three hours.

An Amarone vertical tasting shows how this DOCG wine changes with the years, and here it takes place at the Ca' Besi vineyard in Valpolicella. The programme runs about three hours and covers the history, the technique and the land behind what many call the king of Valpolicella.

You are welcomed at the vineyard and then see the winemaking and ageing areas of the cellar. In the tasting rooms four vintages of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG follow: 2010, 2013, the organic 2019 and the Austernia 2019 selection. A glass of organic Recioto della Valpolicella Classico 2022 closes the tasting, served with a dessert.

  • Vineyard and cellar visit
  • Four vintages of Amarone and a glass of Recioto
  • An appetizer of fresh bread with the estate's organic extra virgin olive oil
  • Cured meats and cheeses chosen by the sommelier for each wine, baked goods and water

Transfer is not included. Mention allergies, intolerances or dietary needs, such as pregnancy, vegetarian or vegan, when booking, and alternatives will be offered. Tours in German and Spanish depend on availability for the date you want.
