Description
The kayak tour in the Ceraino canyon puts you on a gentle stretch of the Adige, Italy's second-longest river, just a few kilometres from Verona. No experience is needed: a licensed guide stays with the group all the way, and you steer your own kayak.
The meeting point is the Albino Armani winery, among vineyards beside the river. A briefing comes first, with the equipment, the paddling motion, the right position in the boat and the safety rules. Then you set off for nine kilometres of easy current, suitable for all ages and especially for first-timers.
- spotting the camouflaged forts on the hills
- dips in the current and water fights
- stories of the Romans, Napoleon and the Great War
- the Ceraino Lock, where mountains drop straight into the river
You land near Villa del Bene in Volargne and are taken back to your cars at the start. The whole outing takes about two and a half hours, and the guide takes photos and videos. Equipment and insurance are included.
