Description
Horseback riding on Lake Garda takes you through the countryside around Lazise on a horse of your own, with a guide beside you. After about an hour on the trail you reach a family-run beekeeping farm, where a picnic is waiting.
The food is local and changes with the season:
- homemade preserves
- vegetable pies
- biscuits or crackers made in-house
- artisanal cheeses, served with honey
- wine produced on the farm itself
While you eat, you hear about the farm's sustainable practices and where each product comes from, from the cheese to the vegetables and fruit.
You do not need to have ridden before: the tour also welcomes people new to horses. It is not suitable for children under 8, pregnant women or people with animal allergies, and young riders must come with an adult. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes suited to riding, and bring a hat, sunscreen and some water. If the weather is bad or a horse is not available, the tour can be cancelled, with a refund or a new date. Getting to and from the meeting place is not included.
